This policy covers how you may use the Fortitude Sentinel application and any paid Fortitude service. It is part of the Sentinel subscription terms. The separate website terms of use cover the public marketing site.

The idea is simple. Use Sentinel for its purpose, do not break the law, do not break the service, and do not use it to harm anyone. The detail below spells that out.

Use it for what it is for

Sentinel is for monitoring and improving how AI engines describe you and your market. You may use it for your own organisation, and for clients if you are an agency on a plan that allows that. You may not:

    • Use the service to break the law, or to help anyone else break it.
    • Use it to infringe someone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
    • Upload or process content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, defamatory or harmful.
    • Use the service to harass, defame or run a smear campaign against a competitor or any person.

    Do not abuse the platform

To keep Sentinel fast and reliable for everyone, you may not:

    • Try to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
    • Probe, scan or test the security of the service except under a programme we have agreed in writing.
    • Get around, or try to get around, usage limits, rate limits, paywalls or access controls.
    • Send automated traffic or volumes well beyond normal use, or anything designed to overload or disrupt the service.
    • Introduce malware, or anything else harmful, into the service.

Do not take the product apart or resell it

Except where the law says we cannot stop you, you may not:

    • Copy, reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code, models or methodology behind the service.
    • Resell, sublicense, rent or share your access with people outside your organisation, unless your plan expressly allows it.
    • Scrape or bulk-export The Vault or other data to build or train a competing product or model.
    • Use the service to benchmark it for a competitor, or to build something that competes with it.

    Use AI outputs responsibly

Sentinel reports reflect the outputs of third-party AI engines, which are probabilistic and change over time. You agree to:

    • Apply your own judgement before acting on a report, and not treat scores or findings as guaranteed or official.
    • Not present Sentinel outputs as professional advice, or as a statement endorsed by any AI engine provider.
    • Not use the service to generate or spread content that is misleading, deceptive or designed to manipulate AI engines in ways that break their rules or the law.

Fair use of automated features and APIs

Where we offer automated checks or an API, use them within any limits we publish or set for your plan. We may rate limit, queue or pause activity that threatens the stability of the service, and we will try to tell you before we do.

    If this policy is broken

If you break this policy, we may suspend or limit your access, as set out in the subscription terms, and in serious cases end your agreement. Where it is safe and lawful, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If you see something that breaks this policy, tell us at security@fortitudemedia.ai.
