Most software companies are quietly happy when you forget to log in. We are the opposite. Sentinel only earns its keep when your team actually looks at what the AI engines are saying about you. So we made you a simple promise.
If nobody on your team signs in to Sentinel during a calendar month, we will email you and offer that month back in full.
No form. No claim. No small print you have to go hunting for. We watch our own usage data, and if a paid account had zero logins across a whole month, we get in touch with you, not the other way round.
How it works
- You are on a paid Sentinel plan. Basic, Standard or Pro.
- A full calendar month passes with no logins from anyone on your account. Not one team member signed in.
- We email your account admin within five business days of the month ending. The message says, in plain terms, "looks like nobody used Sentinel last month, would you like that month refunded?"
- You reply yes, and the money goes back. The full month returns to your original payment method through our payment partner, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
That is the whole thing. You can keep your subscription running, keep your Vault history, and keep everything set up. The only thing that changes is that you are not out of pocket for a month you did not use.
Why we do this
Sentinel watches how the major AI engines describe you and your competitors, every day, in the background. The data keeps building whether you log in or not. But the value lands when someone on your side reads it, spots a shift, and acts on it. If that is not happening, we would rather refund you and earn the relationship back than bank a quiet month. It also keeps us honest: if lots of accounts stop logging in, that is a signal we need to fix something, and we want to feel it.
The fair-use bits, kept short
We have kept this deliberately simple, so there is only a little to add.
- It applies to paid Sentinel self-serve plans. The Free tier has nothing to refund. Forge and Discovery are hands-on services where our team is doing the work regardless of whether you log in, so they are covered by the standard refund policy instead.
- A login means a real sign-in by a real person on your account. Automated checks, our own system access, and emails we send you do not count as your team using the product, so they will never cost you the promise.
- One refunded month does not cancel your plan. Your subscription keeps running unless you tell us to stop it. If you would rather not be billed at all while you are not using Sentinel, we will happily move you to the Free tier or pause you.
- If month after month goes by with no logins, we will suggest a change rather than simply refund on a loop. Usually that means dropping to Free or pausing, so you are never paying for something you are not opening. We will always talk to you first.
- It works alongside your other rights. The Usage Promise is extra. You can still cancel whenever you like and claim a pro-rata refund under the refund policy, and none of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
In one line
Use Sentinel and it pays for itself. Forget about it for a month and we will hand that month back. That is how confident we are that looking is worth it.
