We have seen this movie before.
Every era of the web has had one question that decides who wins: when a buyer goes looking, do they find you? We have built companies on the answer three times, and sold two of them.

1998
The agency era
Ross founds Rawnet, building websites and digital products for brands including Honda, O2, Honeywell and Castrol, back when a good website was the edge. Rawnet grows past 70 people and is sold in 2016.
-
2003
The search era
Ross founds Venntro Media Group and bootstraps it, with no outside capital, into Europe's largest privately owned online dating business: 20 million members, 55,000+ sites powered, 200+ people across 20+ markets. Built almost entirely on being found online, profitably, at scale.

2024
The exit
Venntro is acquired by Ambervine. Twenty five years of search-era visibility, banked. The lesson underneath it all: the channel changes every decade, the question never does.
-
2025
The recommendation era
Buyers stop searching and start asking. The shortlist replaces the results page. Ross and David found Fortitude Media to do for AI visibility what they spent two decades doing for search: measure it properly, then win it.

2026
The full stack
Sentinel, Forge, Press, Send and the seven AI Departments. The realisation that changed the company: the same AI shift that decides who gets found also decides what a company costs to run. So we built for both sides, and we run on it ourselves.
